Abstract (EN)
In the recent years, the studies on the development of electric driven vehicles in accordance with how the energy can be used more efficiently and the use of clean energy sources have increased in otomotiv industry. In hybrid electric vehicles, significant progresses in the fuel consumption and emission values have been achieved compared to conventional vehicles. The higher efficiency of electric motors according to internal combustion engines has led to major R&D investments on electric driven vehicles. The current world's order and technologies have not yet found a suitable environment for the transition to all-electric vehicles, therefore automotive industry have turned to hybrid electric vehicles before the transition to all electric vehicles. In the literature, there are a lot of energy analysis performed on hybrid electric cars and optimization studies on the powertrain systems. However there are a few studies on hybrid electric conversion of non-otomotiv vehicles. Due to the non-automotive vehicles are not appropriate for normal driving cycles and designed for a specific function (weight lifting, transportation etc.), make it difficult to analyze these vehicle in standard driving cycle. In this dissertation; due to the increased interest in street sweeper vehicles especially used in big cities and the high fuel consumption of the current street sweepers, an electric driven street sweeper was analysed. In the scope of this work, , the important parameters such as fuel consumption, emission and performance were compared for the series and parallel configuration of vehicle. Simulations were performed by using AVL Cruise software and the results were presented comparatively for the series and parallel cases.
