Abstract (EN)

This paper aims to introduce fuel cells which are is an alternative energy resources which arethe solution for the energy problem.This paper explains the working of the fuel cell which is based on the oxidation of thehydrojen to produce electric, by using the energy and momentum equitions the temperaturedistribution and pressure drops in backing layers were calculated. MATBAL was used inorder to calculate the equitions and the results with the change of flowrate and the inletpressures. The specially designed fuel cell was produced and experiments have done tocompare the calculated efficiency and the real efficiency. A test system was installed and testswere made.Calculations were made according to the thermodynamic equations. Energy, momentum andmass transfer equitions were writen in every layer and then temperature distribution and theefficiencies were found.The produced fuel cell was specially designed. The upper clamps made by casting and theendplates and lower clamps were treated in milling cutter.
