The research about the novel "Pembe Yuva" by Hikmet Şevki

The novel "Pembe Yuva" written by Hikmet Şevki, was published in the "Resimli Gazete" as a thirty two serials between 7 April and 10 November 1928. "Pembe Yuva" novel was published for the first time in 2022 by Koç University Press. The main source in identifying Pembe Yuva is the " History of Serialization Novel in Turkish Literature" project supported by TÜBİTAK. In this study, the novel "Pembe Yuva" was analyzed thematically. The purpose of the study is to determine the place of the "Pembe Yuva" novel, which has not been studied before, in the history of Turkish novel and to introduce the little known literary figure of the Republican period to Turkish literature. Theoretical information about the novel genre and its elements, as well as information about the history of Turkish novels until 1928, are within the scope of this study. The study consist of two parts: The first part is "Hikmet Şevki's Life and Literary Works", the second part is "The Thematic Analysis of the Novel of Pembe Yuva". The themes of family, love, loneliness and secret have been identified in the novel of "Pembe Yuva".
