Abstract (EN)
Initial value problems for two systems of partial di®erential equations of hyperbolic type are main object of this thesis. New methods for solving these problems are suggested and justi¯ed in the thesis. In addition, theorems about existence and uniqueness of these problems are proved. The considered systems of partial di®erential equations describe electric and magnetic wave propagations in electrically an magnetically anisotropic media (crystals, dielectrics etc) and in media with an anisotropic conductivity (biological tissue and earth materials). The results, obtained in the thesis, can ¯nd their applications in the theory of electromagnetic waves.
