Abstract (EN)
Turkey is an extremely risky position of geological reputation. As a result of the mobility of the Arab and Eurasian plates, the Anatolian Plate is gaining mobility. This constitutes earthquakes and plate tectonics in Turkey. Those who are destructive from earthquakes cause loss of life and cause great harm to the economy of the country. In this thesis, Hizan District central (Bitlis) geological and geotechnical settlement availability; laboratory, land and office works have been investigated. In the study area, geological samples of Precambrian Yolcular Group, Middle Devonian Gökçimen Formation, Permian-Mesozoic aged Çadırdağ Group and Quaternary Alluvium were observed. In the study area, 20 geotechnical boreholes, 8 point seismic refraction measurements (Jfsis), 10 Multi Channel Surface Wave (Masw) Measurements, 10 profiles of Electrical Resistivity (DES) measurement, and 15 points of microtremor were measured. Observation point was created at 5 points. The study area was evaluated in terms of the suitability of the settlement by considering the ground behaviors based on the determined soil parameters and by analyzing the morphology (earthquake, landslide, flood and avalanche). Key Words: Disaster, Urbanization, Geology, Geotechnical, Hizan (Bitlis).
