Abstract (EN)
In our country, there are enterprises working in various sectors providing services and producing goods. One of them is service enterprises where employees are directly intertwined with the enterprise and the business manager. In this research, it is aimed to determine whether the leadership characteristics of managers in service enterprises affect employees' organizational commitment and their intention to quit. In the research the correlational research model, which is one of the relational research models, is used. The population of the research consists of workers working under indefinite term employment contracts in 73 enterprises, which are located in the service area, operating within the boundaries of Tokat city centre. The sample representing the population of the study selected by simple random sampling method is composed of 267 persons working under indefinite term employment contracts in enterprises, which are located in the service area, operating within the boundaries of Tokat city centre. In the research, questionnaire method, which is one of the data collection techniques is used. The data obtained from the study has been analysed using SPSS for Windows 22.0 software. Factor analysis, correlation and regression fields and Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests have been used for the interpretation of the analyses. In consequence of the research; when the analysis of the findings are examined, as a result of correlation and regression analysis results, it is concluded that the increase in leadership styles of managers in the service sector increases service sector employees' organizational commitment while decreasing their intention to quit.
