In this study it is questioned if the Six Sigma Technique is appropriate for the service sector and how to eliminate the lack of resources for the firms which are considering to implement this technique. In this context, along with the quality concept, the Six Sigma Technique which is used for process improvement method by the various global scaled firms have been introduced and this method which enables to reach all manner of data and quantificate them and yet especially applicability of the related method on management processes has been revealed. To get this result, the process improvement model known as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) has been used and implemented on a firm which is active in the service sector. This study is consist of three chapters and a conclusion. In first chapter, the Six Sigma approach has been surveyed; in second chapter, the concept of service and the service businesses have been examined. In third chapter, as the primary concern of this study, the Six Sigma technique is examined by practising DMAIC model on a firm which is active in service sector and this has been analyzed as a conlusion.
