Syrian refugees in Turkey on the axis of intercultural expansion of services and international migration

Migration of people causes significant changes bothfor the immigrants and for the regions and states they migrate to, which bring along serious social and cultural as well as economic, political, administrative and technological challenges. The process of coping with these challenges in the countries they migrated to and adapting to their environment, brought the concept of acculturation to the agenda. Intercultural discourses lead by public institutions and organizations, evaluated the public policies for immigrants to solve thechallenges that arise for the access and provision of public services. Turkey is one of the countries directly affected by migration and related movements. Within the scope of public policies the development and management of migration in Turkey, the institutional structure created in the implementation of migration policies, and the works, and expectations of public institutions in Turkey are discussed. Especially, the challenges in basic public services such as social services, health and educational services for Syrians with forced migration experiences after 2011 and proposed solutions are outlined and discussed.
