Özet (EN)
The choice of profession is an important issue according to the career planning of individuals. An important part of an individual's life is affected by the choice of profession. This choice may be due to the person's own will or be affected by external factors. Having to do occupations that are not suitable for the personality type due to wrong choices negatively affect the working life of the individual. John Holland suggested that people can be divided into six personality types according to Holland Typology Theory or Holland Occupational Personality Theory. Holland stated that when personality type and occupational harmony are provided, this harmony contributes positively to business life. In this study, in which Holland Typology Theory is the main focus, the harmony between the personalities of the participants and their professions was examined according to the Holland Typological Theory. In this study, in which personality types and profession are matched, the effect of personality traits on organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior was investigated. Within the scope of the research, ANOVA Test and T Test were used to determine whether there is a difference between group averages of some demographic data according to personality types. Multiple linear regression test was used to understand the effect of personality types on organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. According to the research findings, it was determined that there were significant differences between the personality types of the participants and their status, education and working time in the institution (years of seniority), but there was no significant difference between age and personality types. It was also discovered that there is a low explanatory variance of approximately 8% between personality types and organizational commitment, and approximately 27% on organizational citizenship behavior.
