Abstract (EN)
In this work, the light scattering properties of non-homogeneous media and solid particles have been investigated by using Mie- Tindall light scattering method. As scattering centers, various particles in different shapes and structure have been modelled such as multilayered- structure, cylinder and Chebyshev particles which are made of quartz, kaolinite, montmorillonite suspended in the sea water. The differential scattering of electromagnetic waves by these modelled particles has been investigated. The scattering problem has been solved by application of T- matrix method and the resulting equations have been solved numerically on the computer. The numerical results have been analyzed to determine the dependence of differential scattering on the shape, size and structure of the scattering center. These results have been compared and interpreted by using Dynamical L.S. Theory. As a result it was found that the light scattering method used in this work is a very important investigation instrument for the determination of the properties of the non-linear optical systems, nonizotrophic particles, and nonhomogeneous liquids. Key Words:Light, Light Scattering, Mie-Theory, T-Matrix Method.
