Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of using technology, in comparison to traditional method, on student achievement were investigated. Also, students? perceptions of learning environment in the technology used classroom and in the classroom where traditional teaching was occurred were identified.The study was carried out with the participation of (33 Male and 27 Female) 10th grade students studying in Nevzat Ayaz Anadolu Secondary School in Diyarbakır during 2009-2010 academic year.Pre- and post- test control and experimental design was used in the study and ?Cell Division and Reproduction Achievement Test? and ?Learning Environment Inventory? were used as the data collection instruments.The study revealed that teaching with the help of technology had a better contribution to students? achievement in comparison to traditional method. Likewise, students in the technology aided classroom had a better perception of learning environment.
