Evaluation of the opinions of the faculty of law, theology and health sciences students about optional curettage

This research was carried out to evaluate the opinions of students on Law, Theology and Health Sciences Faculties about optional curettage. The study was carried out with 3rd grade students studying at Gaziantep University Faculty of Law, Theology and Health Sciences between October 1, 2019 and March 1, 2020. Students participating in the research; 31% are studying in law, 22.8% are in theology, 16.5% are in midwifery and 29.7% are in nursing, and 30.4% of students are male and 69.6% are women and students; average age is 22.5 ± 3.7. 60.9% of students have undesirable pregnancy affecting public health, 40.4% of voluntary abortion is one of the ethical issues in reproductive health, 45.3% of voluntary abortion is against community values, 38.6% are voluntary abortion is a sin and 32.8% stated that voluntary abortion is not a sin in some cases. In this study; we can say that the opinions of the students participating in the research about the optional curettage according to the faculties they study mostly make a significant difference and there are also significant differences between their genders. In addition, when we evaluate the results, it was found that approximately half of the students have similar views with cultural and social values
