In this study, Hurufat Notebooks have an important place in the historical research of cities. By examining the Hurufat notebooks in the districts of Çıldır province, information about the foundations Works was obtained. By examining the texts many mosques as well as masjids and madrasas were found. Foundation; is the eternal allocation of a person's property meet people's in order to gain Allah's approval. Foundations have been the most basic institutions that have served human and humanity throughout the history of Islam. The Ottoman Empire also expanded the foundations, one of the cornerstones of its civilization, and brought it to the most basic level. The Ottoman Empire benefited from foundations, which are non-governmental organizations, to spread Islam in the places it dominated. Foundations have important effects on social, cultural and economic life in all Islamic countries. The main purpose of foundations is to do good to people within the framework of personal and conscientious responsibility, to be compassionate and to create a feeling of helping each other. In the Ottoman Empire, the improvement of cities and villages, the performance of prayers and the revitalization of social and economic life were tried to be provided through foundations. The most effective element in the establishment of the foundation institution is belief. People who do good deeds for the sake of Allah have become exemplary citizens for the people in the society, so family members, especially the sultans, and many statesmen have been active in the establishment of various foundations. Foundation establishments; had huge impacts on settlement, maintaining order, urbanism, education, social service and economy. The foundations in the Ottoman Empire, which preserve the existence of the beauties that exist in a country, the existence of a judicious state structure, and the existence of settlements where people can live in a more orderly and secure manner, had a great impact.
