Abstract (EN)
This study includes a thematic review about novel named as ''Şıpsevdi'' written by Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar in between 1901-1911. Descriptions about the themes used on novel, functions and process has considered with a thematic look expressed with details. Remarkabletopics on ''Şıpsevdi''starts with family, friendship, love, marriage, relationships damaged by false western admiration entreated and also includes narration about experienced funny events. These funny and discreditable evetens starts with the political reforms known as Tanzimat and tells us the wrong sides of westernization effort. With the misunderstanding of westernization moral corruption has begun on persons and then community. It is clearly stated that topic developing around false european lifestyle and also its known how Gürpınar care about family values and education of womenand men. Some figures underlined in novel are nonmuslims, materialists, snob persons keen on european lifestyle and susceptibles.
