Contextual index and functional dictionary of Hüseyin Vassaf's Divan

The issue of understanding the Works given in classical Turkish literature has been a problem in almost every period. Various studies have been attempted on this issue, but it can be said that they have remained insufficient to a certain extent. One of these studies is the TEBDİZ system, wihch was tried to be created by utilizing electronic sources of the modern age in 2015. Thanks to this project, it is revealed in which meanings and in which context the words in the works are used. The primary goal of contextual analysis of primary and secondary meanings in literary text is the study of contextual indexes and functional dictionaries. The doctoral dissertations of Furkan ÖZTÜRK and Özer ŞENÖDEYİCİ pioneered this work, and the TEBDİZ Project, coordinated by Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı AKSOYAK, significantly accelerated this process (AYDIN, MARCH 2019). In this study, the vocabulary of Hüseyin VASSÂF's Dîvân, which was prepared for publication by Mustafa TATCI, Mehmet AKKUŞ and İsmail KASAP, who lived in the 20th century, was examined in the context of TEBDİZ and the types of words in the Dîvân were determined and tried to be stated together with the meaning they gained in the text. Arabic and Persian compounds, word groups formed with auxiliary verbs were taken as a whole. In this study, in addition to grammar, the author's life and works were tried to be introduced and information was tried to be given about subjects such as his mystical life, researches and travels.
