A study on educational components within the frame work of methaphoric language use in Hüsn ü Aşk

Values education is an area of specialization that has become increasingly important in recent years and is open to development and research. It becomes necessary to examine many values in the classical period works, which are among our written cultural values in this field. In addition to the aesthetic values of the classical period works such as language and style, they are rich sources that also contain socio-cultural values in terms of the subjects they contain. One of these works is the allegorical and fictional "Hüsn ü Aşk" by Şeyh Gâlib, the last peak poet of classical literature. Şeyh Gâlib is one of the followers of Mevlevi and one of the representatives of the Şebk-i Hindi movement in our literature. In the metaphors he used, he reflected the images and terms of the Sufi and Sebk-i Hindi style. Considering Şeyh Gâlib's language and style in this work, it would be incomplete to do only value research in the work and it was deemed appropriate to examine the metaphors used by the artist while dealing with values. The first concrete studies of the Ministry of National Education on values education were included in the Turkish Language Teaching program in 2015. In our study, the values determined and presented under the name of root values education in the 2019 curriculum were determined. These are: Justice, Friendship, Integrity, Self-control, Patience, Respect, Love, Responsibility, Patriotism, Benevolence. In addition to these root values, the values discussed in different academic studies were also included in the research: Beauty and Aesthetics, Cultural, Sacrifice, Diligence, Courage, Religious-Sufism, Compassion. In addition to the root values of the Ministry of National Education, social and national values were evaluated together and discussed in the context of metaphorical style. In our research, Prof. Dr. Erol Güngör's classification of values education has been our starting point. As a result, it is thought that it is possible to simplified "Hüsn ü Aşk" and use it in Turkish lessons. In this way, they will learn both the teaching of literary arts to the students and the values in the curriculum together with the original metaphor concept with the text transferred from the mathnawi. One of the clear objectives of the study is to provide students with literary pleasure and concretization skills by transferring them through the text.
