Husserl ve Austin: 'Edim' ve 'anlam' arasındaki bir ilişki

In this thesis, I try to make a comparison between Husserl and Austin. The essential subject of this comparison consists of 'meaning' and 'act'. Accordingly, first, I give an exposition of Husserl's general account of language and then the relation between syntactic structures and their correlats that which are intentional experiences (namely, acts). Second, by drawing the outline of Austin's speech act theory, I give an account of Austin's conceptualisation of 'meaning', 'force', and 'truth' within this general frame. Third, I attempt to compare the conceiving ways of 'meaning' and 'act' in Husserl and Austin in terms of their account of 'sentence' and 'truth'.
