Abstract (EN)

The Hyacinthella siirtensis B. Mathev plant, which is spreaded in the Middle Euphrates and Tigris Sections within the borders of Turkey, was examined in terms of its biological, chemical and physicochemical properties. The total amount of phenolic and flavonoid substances, antioxidant activity, chemical composition, metal content, antibacterial activity and physicochemical properties of the H. siirtensis plant were determined by using the soxhlet and maceration extraction method. Extracts obtained by extractions with different solvents were analyzed by GC MS. As a result of GC-MS analysis, the highest number of compounds were determined from these solution extracts obtained by the soxhlet method. 51 compounds were determined from the acetone extract, and 19 different phenolic compounds were determined as a result of the LC-MS/MS analysis of the methanol extract. Total phenolic substance amounts were determined by Folin-Ciocalteau Reagent (FCR) method and antioxidant activities were determined by FRAP and DPPH methods, and total flavonoid amounts were found. The highest value of total phenolic substance content was obtained from 80% methanol extract with 95.87 mg/mL gallic acid equivalent, and the total flavonoid compound amount was obtained from pure water extract with 564.63 mg/mL routine equivalent. Antioxidant activity was determined by DPPH free radical scavenging activities with the highest % inhibition value of 68.72 % and 80% acetone extract, in the antioxidant capacity analyzes performed by FRAP method, the highest value was 1.91 ug/mL FeSO4 equivalent. It was found to belong to 80% methanol extract. It was observed that H. siirtensis plant extract is effective against gram-negative E. coli bacteria in many solution concentrations and has little or no antibacterial effect against gram-positive S. aureus bacteria. As a result of the metal analysis performed with the ICP-OES device, calcium element was detected in the microwave sample with a maximum of 5.33±0.00 g/kg, and in the result of the ICP-MS analysis, calcium element was detected in the microwave sample with a maximum of 15.65±0.49 g/kg.
