The priorities in the sunnah of the Prophet

While Allah was revealing the Quran and the Prophet (pbuh) was preaching Islam, they gave priority to certain rulings and issues. The revelation of the Quran to the Prophet (pbuh) was gradual based on the events and facts that took place over 23 years, having significant differences between the rulings revealed in Mecca and the rulings revealed in Medina, having reasons why some verses or surahs were revealed in the Quran and the abolishing of one ruling by another ruling are clear evidence that some issues were given priority. During the Meccan period, principles of faith were prioritized over all situations. It has been shown that the foundation of religion is belief. The existence, unity and power of Allah, belief in the afterlife and belief in the prophets are among the most mentioned topics in the Meccan surahs. Another issue most mentioned in the Meccan surahs, apart from the principles of faith, is morality. Renunciation of worldly things, being a pious believer, showing patience and perseverance when necessary, not being stingy, being open-hearted, not being boastful and not oppressing others, acting justly, knowing that all people are equal in creation and deserve equality, being fair in dealings, caring for orphans and those in need, and treating parents well are among the basic moral values. In the Madani surahs, jihad and striving for Allah are emphasized and prioritized the most. In these surahs, the worship and transaction parts of the Islamic religion are completed.
