Abstract (EN)
The security of life and properties are vital. As a social existence, human being tries to continue living in the society in a safe manner. When the history of humanity is examined, it is noticed that a lot of undesirable events occured because of the weakness of security. Nowadays a lot of homes and workplaces are protected with security and access control systems. Yet installing such a safe and useful security system is very expensive for many consumers. With the simple meaning the aim of the access control is to prevent unauthorised people from accessing the preserved resources. In this thesis, the access control will be discussed and for access control, a safe, useful and scalable system will be designed at very low prices. In our access control system, access control will be performed with Dallas i-button device. User information is send over ethernet to the server and this information will be saved on a database file on server. System user will be able realized their entrance to limited a area by using own i-button. User entrance time and identify information will be saved on server database file. In case of increase of user quantity new i-buttons will be added to our access control system. Since there is a long distance between access control points and server, the data transfer will be done with ethernet. In this way, existing ethernet network in our building will be used to access control point. In this system?s design Keil uVision compiler will be used to program DS80C400 microcontroller. In the server, C# and SQL programming languages are used for database application.
