Abstract (EN)
In this study, al-Awāmir al-'Alā'iyya fī al-Umūri al-'Alā'iyya, one of the most important sources of the Seljuk State of Turkey, has been subjected to a comprehensive analysis. The descriptions and praises of the Seljuk sultans written by Ibn Bībī, the author of the work, have been scrutinised and the salient points have been conveyed to the reader. Another pillar of the study is the classification and indexing of the information about the settlements in Anatolia. In this respect, the present-day equivalents of the cities and castles that Ibn Bībī mentions in his narrative have been identified and briefly explained. As a result, this study, which was written in terms of both making sense of the state and sultan mechanisms of the Seljuk State of Turkey and identifying the places mentioned in the work, is important in terms of Historical Geography.
