Ibn Abî Hâti̇m al-Râzî and his method about Cerh and Ta'dîl

The Sunnah/Hadith in which is put into practice of Quran, based on the narration of Reporters/Ravi. In this respect, the classification of the situations of the Ravis/Reporters is greatly important. A wide range of studies has written down on Carh-Ta'dil that investigates the reliability of Hadith Ravis/Reporters. One of the distinguish writer of these works is Ibn Abi Hatim. So, We have treated his scholarly life and his methodology on Carh-Ta'dil in our thesis. Within this framework, it has been presented briefly his scholarly life and introduced his works in the first chapter. In the second chapter, it has been set the expressions/Alfaz, which he used in Carh-Ta'dil method and explained the meanings that he imputed to these expressions. We cope with his evaluation method on Ravi/reporter in the third chapter. Also, it's discussed his approach to the ranks of Ravis/Reporters and then his Carh-Ta'dil technique. It has been treated the originality of Ibn Abi Hatim beside his subjectivity in evaluations in this chapter. It has been concluded in our study that the masterpiece of Ibn Abi Hatim, Al-Carh va Ta'dil, is irrevocable encyclopedically study. However, it has not been seem possible to talk about the originality of Ibn Abi Hatim in the respect of expressions on Ravis/Reporters that he used. Beside that, it has been concluded that Ibn Abi Hatim has not objectively treated his evaluations on Ahl al-Ray and Khalq al-Quran. Keywords: Hadith, Ravi/Reporter, Carh-Ta'dil, Ibn Abi Hatim.
