The phenomenon of abrogation in the commentary of Ibn Kesîr

After the death of the Prophet, it was brought to the verses of the Qur'an with different meanings and interpretations as a result of the expansion of the Islamic lands and the entry of people of different cultures and nations into Islam. The most controversial of the Quranic sciences is undoubtedly nâsih mensûh, one of the sciences that has been written the most and that preserves this title today. The commentators made great efforts in this issue in their tafsir books and tried to explain the contradictory provisions with the theory of nesh by revealing their own acumen. In this thesis, we tried to explain how he handled the prose by emphasizing the verses that Ibn Kesir considered as a member and not a member in his commentary. While doing these, we investigated the consistency of Ibn Kesir's opinions by comparing his views with the classical period scholars such as Taberî, Zemahşerî and Râzî.
