Theolocigal problems in the light of hadiths in the Muqaddima of Ibn Mace

Ibn Maja who was born in the city of Kazvîn in İran in 209/824 and passed away in 273/886 is one of the hadith scholars known for his work named as as-Sunan which has been involved in Kutub-i Sitte since the seventh century. He traveled to religous science centers, such as Horasan, Egypt, Ray, Damascus, Basra, Kufa, Baghdad and narrates from the leading scholars of the time like Ali b. Muhammed et-Tanâfisî, Ebû Bekr b. Ebi Şeybe, Hişam b. Ammar. Ebû'l Hasen el-Kattan, Ebû Bekr Hamid el-Ebheri, Ebû Ca'fer Muhammed b. İsa narrated hadith from him, too. Ibn Maja started his work called as as-Sunan with the Muqaddimah. In this Muqaddimah, as well as the issues about necessity of obeying he sunnah, being cautious in the narration of the hadith, the sin of inventing lies in the name of Prophet, the allegiance to the sunnah of the caliphs of the rashid, the merits of the companion and the avoidance of comparison; the definition and nature of faith, the relationship between faith and Islam, the relationship between faith and deed, increase and decrease in faith, destiny, ru'yatullah and attributes of Allah are discussed under subject headings. Ibn Maja who was influenced by the political and creed debates occuring in third century, separated his Muqaddimah for the issues that were mostly discussed at that time and aimed to not only respond to his opponents, but also support the opinions of the Ahl-i Hadith through both the titles of the sections od hadiths, the rumors he placed under that sections of hadiths and the verses he interspersed.
