Abstract (EN)

This study is the biograhpy of İbrahim Aslanoğlu who lived between the years 1920–1995, was an academician and editor.He did many researches about Turkish folklore and Turkish folk literature. In this thesis, Aslanoğlu's birth, death, life, works and publishing activities were discussed. The life and works of Aslanoğlu who revealed important information about Turkish Folklore and Turkish Folk Literature were aimed torecord. This thesis consists of five main sections.In the firsth section, the auther's life (his birthchildhood, education, his family-children, his services, the last ages of his life-his death) were examined. In the second section, The works and the articles published about İbrahim Aslanoğlu were presented. In the thirdh section, his works were gathered under the titles of his books, his articles and his editorship. His books were examined according to the date of publishing under the seperate titles. His articles which published in the magazine of Turkish Folklore, the magazine of Sivas Folklore and some various magazines were categorised. Under the title of his editorship, The editorial staff and their articles were examined. In the fourth section, there is an article written by Aslanoğlu with nicknames.
