This study contains examples of shalvar style that belongs to 14 cities, their counties and villages in Central Anatolia and data from randomly selected 592 women who accept to answer the survey and it also contains sources that reached by scanning literature at this topic.In order to determine the figural and functional specifications of Central Anatolia women?s traditional shalvar a survey study form is prepared by the researcher. This form contains pictures, pattern form, fabric, color, figure, and usage specifications. The survey form is prepared as tree sections. These sections are composed of usage of shalvar nowadays and the effects of usage of shalvar in the aspect of sociological and functional specifications.As the result of the study, usage of the shalvar and the effect of sociological and functional specifications of them are shown as tabular and are commented accordingly.According to demographical specifications, the relationship between usage of shalvar and sociological and functional specifications are analyzed by applying Chi-Square Test and this data are analyzed as an order of p<0,005.In this essay samples of shalvar style specifications are analyzed by using survey form. Technical drawings, material, cutting and embellishing specifications have been determined and their technical drawings have been prepared accordingly. Shalvar of Central Anatolia?s women are studied in three groups such as; traditional women shalvar, bag (without the lower part of the trouser leg) shalvar, low netty and high netty shalvar. In order to improve the functionality of shalvar rectangular shape netty piece and different size triangular bird shape pieces are located on them. So it is determined that such pattern have been used.İt is determined that Central Anatolia traditional women shalvar have such specialties that protectiveness, psychical comfortable, movement comfort, adjustable size, keeping warm/cool and psychological comfort. It has been observed that in Central Anatolia women live in rural area prefer to wear shalvar with respect to urban area due to working comfort. Moreover usage of shalvar also depends on age, education, and demographic specifications according to the statistics.It has been realized that there is no detrimental effect of the social environment on the wearing shalvar; on the contrary it is their own decision completely. Besides shalvar functional specifications it is aimed to continue the culture and tradition by wearing them on a large part of their life.Key Words: Central Anatolia, Clothing, Traditional clothing, Women clothing, Shalvar, Functionality, Culture.
