Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to evaluate the health status of super-elderly patients who were admitted to the Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University. 393 patients (246 females and 147 males) over 80 years of age were included in the study. The files of the patients were reviewed retrospectively. Demographic characteristics, chronic internal diseases, blood count and biochemical parameters were recorded. The data obtained were analyzed with the help of statistical program. No significant difference was found in the evaluation of patients in terms of chronic disease and drug use depending on age and gender. There was a significant difference between the age groups in the evaluation of HB. Mean HTC and creatine levels were lower in the 100-year-old and older patients than in the other groups. Blood hemogram values do not differ according to gender. T cholesterol, LDL and HDL levels were higher in males than females. Vitamin D levels were higher in women than in men.
