Özet (EN)
Place; It is a void in which various actions take place, perceived by the human body and movement. Merleau-Ponty emphasized the body-space relationship with the phrase "if my body did not exist, there would be no space for me". Here, the human body is not perceived as just numerical data, proportion and proportion. The body is considered as the main determining factor in space design with its physical and mental data. In the historical process, the distinctions towards the body caused by Cartesian thought have disappeared in today's spatial understanding and design, and the body and space have become considered as an integrated system of values. The multiple relationship between body and space is one of the main problems of space design approaches. Changing space and body perception has highlighted the concept of spatial experience, and the concepts of perception towards the body, movement, and memory in spatial experience have become the basic data to be examined. The study discussed is aimed at revealing the data of the body, which is considered as the basic data for space design, in an integrated manner. In this direction, the study is supported by the literature data that reveal the approach of the body to space design from past to present. Keywords: Body, Space, Space experience, Space design
