Abstract (EN)

Accurate and sustainable design of every stage of residential spaces within the scope of interior architecture activities that is important for both present and future generations. Within the scope of this thesis, a game-based application was developed that aims to increase the knowledge level of interior architecture students on sustainability issues. The application designed in this thesis aiming to make a method proposal to interior architecture education. Through the concept of edutainment, this method provides students to experience of simulation of their professional life in the future and encourages them to research. This method, which was developed to ensure that interior architecture students acquire sustainability knowledge with fun, involves the use of role-playing techniques through the concept of edutainment. In order to establish an objective and realistic approach; it has been involved in the design process of a sustainable building rating system developed in Turkey. This method which could be said a kind of game-based appllication can be named as Bee Game. It makes a fun and competitive contribution to a research-intensive project process. As a result; The importance for the future of supporting the increase in knowledge on the subject, combining entertainment with education, and emphasizing the responsibilities of space designers in the context of environment, economy and social relations are revealed.
