Abstract (EN)
Water is an indispensable source of life for living things. Throughout history, human beings have tried to establish settlements close to the water source. When they were far from water or when water was insufficient, they carried water to their habitats with various methods. Today, with drinking water network lines, water can be transported to homes with modern techniques. For the transport process, the routes of the pipelines must be passed through the appropriate places. For this reason, by creating bases with GIS (Geographical Information Systems), drinking water design and other infrastructure services (sewage, natural gas, electricity, etc.) together with energy acquisition issues can be carried out harmoniously. Electrical energy, although not as much as water, has an important place among the sine qua non of our lives and is used in many areas such as transportation, lighting, heating, cooling, etc. For this reason, each country is researching, developing and using various production methods using renewable energy sources. In the thesis study, turbine selection criteria and turbine selection were made without changing the existing water distribution network project data in Armağan Village of Maçka district of Trabzon province. As a result of the calculations made as a result of the research, it was revealed that 84.12 kW of electricity could be produced by using the Pelton Turbine instead of the Pressure Breaking Valves (BKV). In addition, functions of GIS such as inquiry, thematic map were used.
