Comparative language analysis on the Volga Bulgar Turkic and the Chuvash Turkic (Phonology and morphology)

Volga Bulgar and Chuvash Turkic are Turkic dialects with unique features not seen in other Turkic dialects. Due to these unique features, they differ from the other Turkic dialects and form an independent branch of the Turkic language. For this reason, Volga Bulgar and Chuvash Turkic have been the center of interest of researchers.Volga Bulgar Turkic, a historical Turkic dialect, was spoken and written in the Volga Bulgar khanate. Volga Bulgar Turkic, which lost its importance after the Mongols put an end to the Volga Bulgar khanate, was forgotten by its speakers over time and nothing remained from this dialect but tombstones. With the discovery of the tombstones, the language of the Volga Bulgar Turks was examined by the researchers and it was understood that it had common features with the Chuvash Turkic.In this study, sound and morphological features of the Volga Bulgar and Chuvash Turkic will be defined and compared, the common aspects and differences of the two Turkic dialects will be determined. At this point, sometimes other historical and contemporary Turkic dialects will also be applied.
