The liverwort (Marchantiopyhta) flora of Igneada Flooded Forests National Park (Demirkoy-Kirklareli)

The aim of this study is to find out the liverwort variety of İğneada Flooded Forests National Park, which is one of the important wetlands and flooded forestlands of Turkey, which has not been studied until now and to investigate the fluorescence of the liverworts extensively. The study area has an area of 3.155 hectares and it is located within the borders of İğneada town of Demirköy district. As a result of two field studies carried out in different periods in the study area, 212 specimen of liverwort were identified and 18 genus belonging to 17 families and 21 species belonging to these species were determined. Three of these samples (Riccia sorocarpa Bisch., Corsinia coriandrina (Spreng.) Lindb. and Fossombronia husnotii Corb.) Henderson (1961) are new registrations for square A1 according to the squaring system. The richest families in terms of number of species are Ricciaceae (3 species), Lophocoleaceae (3 species) and Fossombroniaceae (2 species). The most common breeds are Riccia with 3 species and Fossombronia with Lophocolea having two species. The other breeds are represented by one species.
