Abstract (EN)
In this study, the reasons for preferring Qur'an courses and expectations of adult women in Qur'an courses were revealed by interviewing 40 participants aged between 30 and 70 who attend the Needs-Oriented Qur'an course affiliated to the Çorum Provincial Mufti. In this study, in which the reasons for choosing Need-Focused Qur'an courses and expectations of students were investigated, it was prepared by using two methods, both literature review and field research, in order to reveal the knowledge acquired by the students in the sense of religion in the Qur'an courses through in-depth research. For this reason, master's and doctoral theses, academic books, journals and articles, symposiums, panels, seminars and meetings in this field have been reviewed. In our study, within the scope of qualitative field research; "Focus Group Interview" method, which is a technique that focuses on communication between participants, was applied to collect data on a certain subject. In our study, we asked the participant students of our research: "What is your reason for choosing the Qur'an course?" As a result of the analysis we made on the answers given by the students to the question; They stated that "Need-Focused Qur'an Courses are close and belong to the DIB, to receive Qur'an education and religious education, to complete the education left unfinished in childhood, to come with the encouragement of the environment, to spend quality time, to relax psychologically". Again, students participating in the research; "What are your expectations from the course, have these expectations been met?" As a result of the answers we received to the questions, it was seen that the participant students had: "Quran Learning Expectation, Religious Education Expectation, Contribution to Family and Near Environment Relationships, Leisure Time Expectations, Socialization Expectations and Psychological Relaxation Expectations, Spiritual Values Expectations". In addition to Quran courses, Quran and religious education services; It has been a center of satisfaction for adult women where they can fill their spiritual gaps. The courses appear as a multi-faceted institution where students seek solutions to their family problems, religious, social and psychological problems and receive actual counseling services, where religious education, religious values are explained, religious socialization areas are created and practices are made in this context. Religious education, religious socialization, with the basic functions of Qur'an courses; It carries out collective worship and social activities with religious content integrated with religious, national and spiritual values. These services, in line with the preferences of the course students, contribute to the training of course students as individuals who have high perceptions of religious values, integrate with the society, and can change and develop themselves and their environment with the right religious values. It has been determined that the gains, which are among the main objectives of the Qur'an courses and which are kept in the forefront within the scope of "Religious Education in Need-Based Qur'an Courses" by the Presidency of Religious Affairs (DIB), have been acquired and the expectations of the students have been met with these gains. These expectations appear as attitudes such as learning to read the Qur'an, getting a good religious education, showing moral change and development towards oneself and others, recognizing the importance of belief, worship and moral integrity, and exhibiting good behaviors that reflect Islamic moral values. Qur'an courses have become an indispensable religious education institution where adults and women from different backgrounds come together and meet the expectations of students, where they spend quality time fed with religious content. It was underlined that the number of Qur'an courses should be increased and the knowledge and experience gained through Qur'an courses, education and religious values should be conveyed to everyone, as everyone benefits from Need-Focused Qur'an Courses and provides services by reaching more students.
