Abstract (EN)

In 19th century, the Ottoman Empire that turned its face to west declared the Gülhane Hatt-ı Hümayun (Rescript of Gülhane) in 1839 to follow the changing life conditions. With this Rescript, the society went through the changes in political, social, economical, cultural etc. In this process, educated people inform, educate, lead the society and they used media to make themselves heard widely. Novels, stories and writings about theatres in periodical publications between 1908 and 1923 composes the scope of this work. The Library of Hakkı Tarık Us and National Library was scanned digitally with the intention of detection, classification and evaluation about fictional texts in this restricted period. The ones which are on the scope of this work was translated into Latin Alphabet. These texts were reviewed in theree main topics as "Novel", "Story" and "Theatre". The ideas and thoughts about fictional genres have been identified. Each genre was evaluated by its own features as a whole. Kubbealtı Dictonary is based on spelling of quotation in the newspapers and for the other parts Turkish Dictonary is based. Keywords: 2nd Constitunial Era, magazine, novel, story, theatre.
