Abstract (EN)
Awqaf books contain important clues about the foundation tradition that lasted for centuries in the Ottoman Empire. It provides some information about the socio-economic life of the Ottoman society. Each region has its own awqaf book. Each book was created as a result of the census of the region to which it belongs. The information in the documents illuminate the history of the relevant region. There are fifty foundation books in the Kuyûd-ı Kadîme Archive. In our study, which was created based on the Awqaf Book in the Bolu Liva Numbered 547; it contains important information about the people who carried out the foundation process in Yedidivan, Hızırbey and Ereğli regions, the donated lands and the agricultural products grown in the region. There were politicians of the period among the people who carried out the foundation process. It is seen that in some donated lands, a certain portion of the income obtained is allocated to certain constructions. Mosques, madrasahs, masjids, caravanserais, bridges and zawiyas used by the Ottoman society constitute the mentioned buildings.
