Abstract (EN)

The mankind needed a great labour force to do their daily Works from the period thatthe mankind passed to the Iron Age which they passed to the collective life. Then the peoplebecame a slave to the other people because the technological instruments to answer this needtoo little and in spite of this, the fields which would be cultivated were too wide and thenumber of the people wo would cultivate, weren?t enought. After the people passed to theantiquity frontiers, this term expanded and became a term which was used fort he people whowere entire dependent to their masters fort he aim of serving them in the every fields.n this angle of the vision, the slaves who were the most important labors force sourceof the antiquity societies, were seemed in the property that they could be used in the everyfield and also could thing but didn?t have any right. And also they were compelled to thesocial statue that they did every works of their masters but they couldn?t have family. Thisslavery comprehension which started to develop in the Egypt civilization, continued fromSumer to the Rome empire. At the beginnings of the middle age, the same comprehension wasaccepted and the slavery comprehensions passed to the Europe German tribes and theByzantine empire that was the continuation of the Rome empire.Key Words; Slavery, Slave, Serf, The Law of the Slave, Enfranchisement.
