Abstract (EN)
In this study, a steering system design which belongs a heavy duty 6x6 ARFF vehicle has done. This 3-axle vehicle has steering capacity for its first and third axle. The steering system was designed so that the Ackermann error was within the permissible limits, followed by a chain of the mechanism forming the system and kinematic analysis. Capacity values of the auxiliary and main hydraulic cylinders used on both axles were determined and the required flow, piston diameter and so on. Design parameters are calculated. Finally,steering system components has examined with finite element methods to control safety coefficent.
