Abstract (EN)
Arthroscopic repair is the most popular treatment for bankart lesion today. In our clinic, two different guides are used during the placement of the anchor in arthroscopic bankart repair surgery. The aim of our study; in patients who underwent arthroscopic bankart repair we use curved and straight anchor guide the clinic was to compare the effect on the results. Between January 2013 and January 2020 arthro scopic bankart repair performed and at least one year of follow-up, which, we have access to data, which complies with the criteria for inclusion of 43 patients were even working. Patients were accessed from the hospital registry system and archive files. Examination findings of all patients were evaluated at the preoperative and postoperative final controls. The patients using the curved guide and the patients using the straight guide; operative times, postoperative redislocation rates, preoperative and postoperative Rowe and Constant scores were compared. A curved anchor guide was used in 23 patients, and a straight anchor guide was used in 20 patients. There was no significant difference in surgical time between the straight guide and the curved guide (p= 0,212). Postoperative redislocation was observed in 1 (%4,3) patient using a curved guide and 1 (5%) patient using a straight guide. There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of postoperative redislocation (p= 0, 919). The postoperative Rowe and Constant scores of the groups were compared. There was no significant difference between the groups in terms of postoperative Rowe (p= 0,718) and Constant scores (p= 0,188). The results of the two guides were similar and successful in terms of postoperative functional results and redislocation rates. The advantages of the curved guide are that it can send anchors to the anteroinferior region with a better angle, and it reduces the risk of articular cartilage damage by perforation of the opposite cortex. We believe that conducting more studies and sharing more case series will provide better information on appropriate guidelines and materials and contribute to the reduction of recurrence and complication rates in arthroscopic bankart repair.
