Interior security during World War II

In this thesis, which is about the Interior Security During World War II, it is aimed to put forward the efforts of Turkish Armed Forces which serves in defending the country as well as the efforts of police forces which are in charge of public security.The thesis has two parts. In the first part, it has been tried to give information by stating political and economical situation of the country, and configuration of both military and police forces. In the second part, safety precautions have been described which were applied by Turkish Army. Many events of that period, which effected public security, have been examined in title of ?other events that effected public security along political, economical and social events?.Rightist and leftist activities with separatist and reactionary activities that existed during the period, profiteering and black marketing in economical and social events, and the corruption which was one of the characteristics of that time has been considered among the most important cases and tried to be described. Beside that, one of the most important factors of the security is destruction of war. It also increased theft, unemployment and ethical incidents which were caused by economical difficulties. On the other hand in Anatolia which was ignored for years, earthquakes, floods and epidemic diseases took an important place in that time.During war, the efforts of the countries on both sides which were trying to make Turkey join into to their own sides, necessitated Turkey to take many precautions which include even censorship and they increased work load of security forces. This problem was tried to be solved by precautions of the Turkish Army.The War brings destruction and immigration.. In this part of the thesis, effects of immigrations has been stated by the examining definition and history of immigrations. The effects of immigrations which happened in time of World War II on national security and precautions taken in this sense have been stated.It was during the difficult years of the World War II that everyone contrıbuted to joint efforts.
