Abstract (EN)

World War II placed significant influence on Turkey as whole world. Turkey was out of the war during the war period following balance politics under leadership of İsmet İnönü. Also Turkish press was followed same politics with government. We are displaying here World War II rise and reflection at Turkish press.Turkish press was not muzzled during the war period, but keeps down strictly. Even sometimes, notified to the post of the editorial writer which subject was writable or not. After War rice, the press complied government foreign politics, advocated to the allies and praised Turkey to stay out of the War in this strict inspection.Nearly ten widely circulated newspapers run at war period. We feed off Cumhuriyet, Ulus, Akşam, Yeni Sabah and Tan newspapers from the circulated newspapers for this study. The aim of our study; how Turkish press effected along with war rice, view of press about great powers, government and press relationship.While preparing the study, firstly benefit from Taksim Atatürk Library and Beyazıt Library, Cumhuriyet Private Archive, Sakarya University Library, 19 Mayıs University Library. Newspapers are subject to study scanned day to day and photos were taken.
