Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted at the Experimental Area of Cukurova University in 2016 as a double crop growing season. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of different nitrogen doses on yield and some agronomic characteristics of soybean grown as a double crop growing season in Cukurova region. The experimental design was a Randomized Complete Block with three replications. The Atakişi soybean variety (belonging to maturity groups III) was used as a plant material in this research. Nine different nitrogen doses such as 0, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 kg/decar were applied in this study. The characteristics such as plant height, pod and branch number per plant, the lowest pod height, 1000-seed weight, protein and oil percentage, seed and oil yield values of soybean variety were investigated. The nitrogen application was effected on all of the investigated characteristics except 1000 seed weight and branch number when the nitrogen doses were increased in this research. The highest seed yield (374.6 kg /decar) was obtained from 18 kg/decar nitrogen applied plots and the lowest (305.9 kg/decar) from control (0 kg/decar) plots.
