Aspects of economic growth eeconomic impact of tourism sector and enhancing policies and benefits

In 21 th century. It is acknowledged that tourism industry has been progressing at an equal rate with the other industies. Improvement on the transportation, communication and economic progress on the whole world is explained as the fundemental reason for the above mentioned issue. Fast-growing economies and increasing growth rate in the tourism industry revealed the necessity of forming new policies for national economies. Today, tourism industry becomes one of the most important industries in terms of economic progress following adoption of free market economy in 1980. Tourism industry plays a significiant role with regard to narrow the trade deficit by ensuring the inflow of foreign currency during crisis periods. It is also effective for employment increase, narrowing the current deficit in the balance of payment. Therefore, a national tourism policy is a required to increase the contribution of tourism revenue to the national economy. it is also required to consider the variable requirements and requests of tourists visiting Turkey and to promote the alternative tourism types. In this study, the role on economic progress, the course in the historical process, contribution and impact on economy for tourism industry are revealed respectively. Thereafter implications regarding current problems are given. The correlation between tourism revenue, gross domestic product, foreign trade deficit datas in the time period between 2002-2014 were tested by time-series analysis. Causality relationship is presented via Grenger causality In the model of this analysis. In the model conducted in this study, relation between dependent and independent is presented after attainment of coeefficients regarding dependent and independent variables.
