Özet (EN)
Exploration depth of horizontal profiling and sounding, resolution of lateral structures and the sensitivity to depth, resolution of buried or near surface structures in electrical resistivity method has to be explored comparatively by use of different arrays. Interpretation of field data can be better performed in this way and more research has to be worked out on these issues. Modeling works with analogue tank enable to use several kinds of arrays in laboratory. Therefore, it is possible to make comparative interpretation of field data. In this thesis it is given place to be in detail also other analytical and numerical modeling methods. Complex bodies are modeled by numerical methods such as the finite element method. Analogue experiment tank used is designed for this thesis. Anomalies from conductive and resistive dikes are constructed as pseudo-sections. Modeled targets are made of plexiglas and aluminium. These targets are placed in pairs in the tank. Measurements are made by increasing the distance between targets and their slopes. The pseudo-sections are prepared for dipole-dipole, pole-dipole and gradient arrays, in the analogue experiment tank. In addition, using analogue method and the finite element method, pseudo-sections are prepared and n=2 anomalies are compared in detail. The computer program using the finite element method has been written by Rijo. Dipole-dipole data prepared in analogue experiment tank was filtered. Anomaly amplitudes, anomaly amplitude obtained with slope increase, sensitivity to slope, lateral resolution, real location of body and similarity of the pseudo-sections to the shape of body and for n=2 anomalies are interpreted. Advantaces of arrays has been determinated. In addition other numerical methods and field data are compared and therefore is tested accuracy and validity of using the analogue experiment tank.Key Words: Electrical Resistivity, Analogue Modeling, The Finite Element Method, Pseudo-Section, Dike.
