Investigation of relationship of codependency between rejection sensitivity and depression

This study focuses on the investigation of the relationship of codependency between rejection sensitivity and depression. The study also has been examined whether depression has a mediating role in the relationship of codependency with rejection sensitivity. The study group of the research consist of 296 person, from diffrent provinces of Türkiye. The average age of the volunteered group is (29.4 %). As data collecting tools, "Personal Information Form" which was devoloped by researcher, "Rejection Sensivity Scale", "Spann-Fischer Codependency Scale" and "Beck Deprression Scale" were used. In the study relationship of rejection sensivity and depression variable were examined using regression-based mediation analysis and correlation analysis. In addition, whether depression has a statistically significant mediating effect in the relationship between codependecy and rejection sensitivity was determined by using a Process Macro Software model 4 with the hypotheses of the study. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a statistically positive and significant correlation between codependency, rejection sensitivity and depression. As a result of the mediation analysis, it was determined that depression had a mediating effect on the relationship between codependency and rejection sensitivity.
