THE IMPACT OF GRADE 3 AND 4 STUDENTS' PERCEPTION OF THEIR PARENTS ATTITUDE ON THEIR PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS AND AGGRESSION LEVELS This research aims to determine the impact of grade 3 and 4 students' perception of their parents' attitude on their problem solving skills and aggression levels and whether problem solving skills and aggression levels differ depending on parents' attitude and demographic variables. A total of 200 students consisted of 100 males and 100 females participated in this study. 'Parents' Attitude Scale' to measure parental attitudes, 'Problem Solving Skills Scale' to quantify the level of problem solving skills, 'Child Aggression Scale' to quantify the level of aggression and Personal Information Form" developed by the researcher to get personal information of the participants were employed. In data analysis, Mann Whitney-U Test, Kruskal Wallis H-Test, Factor Analysis and Spearman Correlation were used. According to the research results, in democratic parental attitude, the level of problem solving skills increases whereas in authoritarian attitude, the level of problem solving skills decreases. In authoritarian attitude, the level of aggression increases whereas in democratic parental attitude, the level of aggression decreases. When we looked at the results of the relation between aggression and genders, boys have higher level of aggression than girls.
