Expert views, item analysis, validity and reliability checks were done to validate the scales.Data was analysed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Scientists for Windows Release). To resolve the sub-problems of the research, means( ), standard deviations (S), frequency (?) and percentage (%) distribution of the answers are produced. ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) was used for the analysis of significance. As results of the data analysis it is found that:There is a statistically significant relationship between the opinions of primary school 4 and 5. grade teachers about teaching mathematics and type of the place where the school was located (province, district, and village)Class teachers think that the learning subjects in the mathematics curriculum is adequate and the program is designed in accordance with the children?s developmental attributes. But the teachers encounter problems from time to time while trying to complete the curriculum and they think that the course textbooks and teaching tools are not adequate. There is a statistically significant relationship between the proficiency level of the teachers and their status of attending professional courses; while there is not any significant relationship between the proficiency level of the teachers and the age, gender, seniority, schools graduated from and type of the place where the school was located.Respondents think that they were adequately competent for branch education, and branch knowledge, but they admitted that they would better get some help about using teaching technologies in some particular learning areas.KEYWORDS: Primary School, Mathematics, Mathematics Thought, Class Teacher
