Examination of curriculum of 4-5. grade Turkish lesson of primary education in terms of teaching of grammar

The purpose of this research is to determine that what extent gains relating to the grammar which are taken place in Curriculum of 4-5. Grade Turkish Lesson of Primary Education (TDOP) are appropriate to the level of the student, what extent problems are experiencing while discussing of lesson relating to the gains regarding grammar which is taken place in TDOP of 4-5. Grade of primary education. Also, requested to determine the opinions of class teacher relating to the tools and equipment which are used in teaching of grammar and to teaching of grammar in TDOP of primary education in this research. Furthermore, aimed to determine the opinions of class teacher relating to the process of teaching of grammar and assessment and evaluation in teaching of grammar in the research.Fifth-grade teachers who serve in the primary schools in provinces of Elazig and Diyarbakir and class teachers who gave education to fifth-grade are composed the environment of the research. Total 296 class teachers including fifth-grade teacher who serve in the primary schools in provinces of Elazig and Diyarbakir and class teachers who gave education to fifth-grade are composed the sampling of the research. The survey which was prepared in order to reach to the purpose that determined in the research was consisted of a section that opinions relating to the teaching of grammar was given and section relating to the what extent problem are experiencing while getting/have getting of these gains in the process of education and section in the subject of what extent gains relating to the grammar in 4-5. Grade TDOP of primary education are appropriate to the level of the student. Statistical solutions of the datas of research were carried out by using SPSS 16.0 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) in the computer. Percentage, frequency and arithmetic average were used in the solutions of datas, also independent groups t test, Krustal-Wallis Test, Mann Whitney U Test and one-way analysis of variance were used in comparisons based on the variables.People who participated in the research found that many of the gains relating to the grammar in TDOP 4-5. Grade of primary education are very convenient to the level of the student, some of them are convenient. Teachers who participated in the research stated that listening gains relating to the grammar in TDOP are more appropriate to the level of the student and experienced fewer problems in the process of bringing in of gains. Seen that teachers found the writing gains are less appropriate to the level of the student and also they experienced more problems in the process of bringing in of gains.Teacher who serves in province and district found that gains relating to the grammar which is taken place in TDOP 4.5. Grade of primary education are more appropriate to the level of the student according to the teachers who serves in the villages. Determined that teachers who have 1-5 and 6-10 years occupational seniority accepted the requirement of taking advantages of different methods and techniques in the teaching of the grammar and alternative assessments tools in the evaluation of the teaching of the grammar according to the teacher who have 11 years or more seniority.Determined that teachers graduated from college of education and high school of training institute more accepted an opinion that exam system in our country blocked the teaching of grammar for reach to a functional quality and an opinion that multiple-choice lessons are inadequate in the assessment of teaching of functional grammar according to the teacher who graduated from other faculties.Keywords: Curriculum of Turkish Lesson, Teaching of Grammar, Gains of Grammar
