Abstract (EN)

In this study, Teachers? and students? opinions about portfolio studies in ?Reflections from Numbers to Probability? unit in 6. Class mathematics lesson is tried to be identified.This research is made with students of 6- G class and mathematics teacher in Hüseyin Güllüoğlu Primary school that is located in Keçiören / Ankara. Portfolio is prepared to students during ?Reflections from Numbers to Probability? unit and this study has lasted for 6 weeks. Just after the process of preparing the portfolio had finished, interview was done with the students and the teachers.This research has made with the instance event method that is one of the qualitative methods.Research data is obtained by the interviewed students and teacher. While interviewing whole interviews are recorded with the permission of interviewed person. Then whole records are written word by word. Later each answer of students and teachers in interview form are coded and by that data analysis is made.In the conclusion of research;1.To change approach of students to the Math?s portfolio studies can be done.2.Self guided learning can be achieved by making students prepare portfolio3.Portfolios may be used to gain behaviors to students that will be useful for life long4.Portfolio studies can be used to increase quality of communication and education among students and teachers.5.If evaluation criterions are prepared before, evaluation process is not difficult but on the other hand this study means extra time for teacher.6.With this research, it?s obvious that targets of forming portfolio file that has newly started in 2005-2006 education term have reached estimated goal.
