The evaluation of the primary education 7th grade Turkish teachers guidebook with regard to constructivist approach

There is a need of many basic dynamics for the prosperity and happiness of societies. Among these dynamics, education, justice, economy, etc. are leading ones. Education is a fact that is crucial for all human beings.In developed societies, education is set on a scientific basis and new methods are being developed in order to increase the level of educational output. Ministry of National Education improves programs by reviewing educational programs both with National Education Coincils periodically and with decisions taken by National Board of Education. As a result, Ministry of National Education has recently evaluated the educational program in accordance with constructivist approach. In this thesis, 7th grade Turkish Lesson Teachers Guidebook that was prepared according to the educational program addressed to constructivist approach is tried to be evaluated. The study aims to examine whether the guidebook is relevant to constructivist approach or not. Document analysing method is uesd in this study. Principles of constructivist approach, literature review and 11 evaluation criteria based on the principles of constructivist approach with the help of experts? views were determined. In the study, activities and tasks in the teachers guidebook these criteria confront is aimed to be determined.
