The influence of enviroment unit in the 7th grade on students tititude toward enviroment and their environment knowledge

The purpose of this study is to investigate unit on environment in 7th grade science and technology course on students? attitudes toward environment and their environment knowledge.The sample of the study included 7th grade student from four schools which were selected from different district of Ankara (Altındağ, Çankaya, Keçiören).Survey research method is used in the study. A questionary on environment attitudes and knowledge was prepared. The questionary which included three parts. In the first part, general information about students participated in the study was collected. In the second part, environment attitudes of students and in the third part, student knowledge on environment was collected.As a result of the study, the unit on environment in science and technology course was found that it has increased student knowledge level in positive direction but it has not had any influence on the observed behavior.
